What is the Jantal Puja of Maa Hingula?
Seven days before the pilgrimage, the auspicious day of Maa Hingula is determined by calculating her zodiac sign according to the constellations. On that day, a puja is performed at the Kuteisuni Mandap, which is called Jantal Puja.
On that afternoon, Patiyar is worshipped in the form of a goddess in sixteen forms. The goddess resides in her and indicates the direction of Hingula’s appearance.
According to tradition, Maa Hingula, in the form of fire, gives information about her appearance in the east or west direction at the place of worship.
On that day, at midnight, Dehuri comes out to determine the appearance or rise of Maa.
ମା ହିଙ୍ଗୁଳା ଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ତାଳ ପୂଜା କଣ ?
ଯାତ୍ରାର ସାତଦିନ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ମା ହିଙ୍ଗୁଳାଙ୍କ ‘ର ରାଶି ନକ୍ଷତ୍ର ଅନୁସାରେ ଗଣନା କରାଯାଇ ଶୁଭଦିନ ନିଦ୍ଧିଷ୍ଟ କରାଯାଏ ସେହିଦିନ କୁଟେଇଶୁଣି ମଣ୍ଡପରେ ଏକ ପୂଜା ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହୁଏ ତାକୁ ଜନ୍ତାଳ ପୂଜା କୁହାଯାଏ ।
ସେହିଦିନ ଅପରାହ୍ନରେ ପତିଆରଙ୍କୁ ଦେବୀ ରୂପରେ ଷୋଡ଼ଶଚାରରେ ପୂଜା କରାଯାଏ ତାଙ୍କ ଠାରେ ଦେବୀ ଆବିଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇ ହିଙ୍ଗୁଳା ଙ୍କ ଆଵିର୍ଭାବ ର ଦିଗ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ କରନ୍ତି ।
ପରମ୍ପରା ଅନୁସାରେ ଅଗ୍ନିରୂପୀ ମା ହିଙ୍ଗୁଳା ପୂଜା ପୀଠରେ ପୂର୍ବ ଦିଗରେ କିମ୍ବା ପଶ୍ଚିମ ଦିଗରେ ଆବିର୍ଭାବ ସୂଚନା ଦିଅନ୍ତି ।
ସେହିଦିନ ରାତ୍ରି ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧରେ ଦେହୁରୀ ମାଙ୍କର ଆବିର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥଳୀ ବା ଉଭାସ୍ଥଳୀ ନିର୍ଣ୍ଣୟ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ବାହାରନ୍ତି ।
